New Leaf has secured a world class leadership team for the continous sourcing of projects and investment for the future DAO's consideration.

SIMON OWEN

Simon has almost 30 years of experience as a corporate and commercial lawyer and corporate advisor with particular focus upon developing businesses, specifically those based upon innovation. He has considerable executive experience in the establishment and development of businesses in industries including information technology, biotech, medtech, agriculture, fintech and a variety of software and blockchain based platforms.

He has acted for investors and venture capital funds as well as participated in nearly 100 separate capital raisings, from seed equity to complex syndicated debt and hybrid raisings in international markets. Simon was at the forefront of the early-stage developments in blockchain based ventures. He is a co-founder of a unique Australian investment manager in this ‘space’ and provides regulatory, legal and strategic advice to other ventures in Australia and internationally.

STEVE JAMES

Steve has over 30 years’ experience in the financial services industry. He has held senior roles at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, National Australia Bank and Westpac, and was also a foreign exchange dealer at Deutsche Bank and Bank of America. Steve’s experience includes FX trading, financial planning and stock-broking financial markets and he was a key figure in developing Australia’s largest wholesale broking business.

He is currently CEO of DomaCom Limited an ASX publicly listed company and is a highly experienced Company Director, having served on the boards of numerous listed and unlisted entities. He holds a Masters Degree in Financial Services Law, a Master Stockbroker Qualification, a Diploma of Financial Markets and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia.

DR BRENDAN DE KAUWE

Brendan is the Responsible Manager of a Financial Services Licence, having extensive experience across global equity capital markets including the life science and cannabinoid sectors and has served as chairman, executive and non-executive director across numerous international publicly listed companies (NASDAQ and ASX) and private entities.

He is also the Founder and Director of multiple tokenized RWA and DeFi companies, exchange platforms and blockchain-based investments and infrastructure since 2015.

ANDREAS GEDEON

Andreas Gedeon is a distinguished leader with over a decade of experience in the international cannabis industry, spanning multiple roles from CEO to Director across various global markets. His expertise encompasses the full spectrum of the industry, including pharmaceutical and nutraceutical product development. Andreas's strategic leadership has guided companies through complex regulatory environments and successful listings on several stock exchanges. His international perspective is informed by his direct experience in emerging and established markets, positioning him as a key figure in shaping the future of the cannabis industry.
