# Platform Architecture

**Token Creation and Distribution**

The platform will define a unique protocol for creating and distributing New Leaf’s tokenised Cannabis assets via the NLF tokens. This protocol ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and establishes guidelines for token issuance and distribution.

**Smart Contracts and Governance**

Smart contracts will be utilised throughout the platform to automate asset tokenisation, ownership transfers, earnings distributions, and compliance procedures. Clear governance mechanisms will be established to ensure transparency and consensus among stakeholders.

**Asset Verification and Tokenization Process**

The platform will implement robust systems for verifying the authenticity and quality of likely Cannabis assets eligible for tokenisation. This process involves rigorous due diligence, including legal compliance, quality standards, and ownership validation and includes all usual ‘in-country’ checks and legal validation and security (where applicable).

**User Interface and Functionality**

An intuitive and user-friendly interface will be developed, allowing participants to easily navigate the platform, view tokenised assets, track investments, and engage in trading activities. Advanced functionalities, such as portfolio management and data analytics, will enhance user experience.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://new-leaf-finance.gitbook.io/new-leaf-finance-docs/platform-architecture.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
